Empowering community leaders to serve and support families.

A strong community is one that boasts of vibrant and interconnected mediating institutions such as families, neighborhoods, voluntary associations, and churches. The Texas Family Project supports and empowers these important  institutions to create a community-based movement that restores and supports families.

We do this in several ways:

Our Family Champion Project

We strengthen families and build strong communities through our Family Champion Project, where we identify, connect, and support leaders who advocate for families nationwide. Our goal is to gain insight into their efforts within local organizations and communities. By collaborating with these family champions, we exchange best practices and explore effective strategies to enhance the well-being of families in Texas.

“Strong families are the cornerstone of strong communities. Strong communities build a strong nation."

~ Dr. Ben Carson

Our Community Marriage Initiatives

We support families by resourcing  32 established and emerging community-based marriage initiatives across the country to support marriage and family leaders in their respective cities. There are many marriage leaders and family champions laboring in cities across the country and we are privileged to come alongside them to advance the restoration of the family. To this end, we help leaders:

Inspire. Shared purpose is powerful: we want to elevate the importance and value of family and inspire communities to think differently about marriage and family.

Resource. Our goal is to help family strengthening resources penetrate deeper into the heart of every community.

Empower. We empower people across communities to use their unique talents to serve families within their specific callings and professions.

You have a role to play! For each of us, there is a unique highest and best role you can play to strengthen families. Whether you are in healthcare, law, media, education, business, government, politics, counseling, nonprofit, or any other sector, there is a unique role you can play. There needs to be as many family-focused people as possible in each community, operating in their own unique highest and best role. For example, a pediatrician can help smooth a young couple’s transition to parenthood, or a divorce attorney can point a couple towards discernment counseling to be certain that divorce is their last and only option.

We would love to connect with you, hear your vision for supporting families in your community and see how we may be able to empower and network with you.
